Spin of Colors

I strolled past the flower shop to the corner gift store, where a tall metal postcard rack stood out on the brick pavement. The bottom wire tier sat right at my shoulder height, filled with rows of glossy picture cards! Planting my boots firmly, I reached up with both hands and gave the wire frame a spirited shove. The carousel began to spin with a cheerful little metallic rattle, sending streaks of printed murals and painted cityscapes whirling in a colorful blur. Matching its rhythm, I leaped forward and caught the wire edge with both hands, stopping the spin cleanly right on a vivid, sun-drenched festival poster!
