A Fluttering Interruption

A dry leaf fell directly across my primary visual sensors while I maintained position on the branch. I did not shift my stance. Instead, I carefully tilted my head thirty degrees downward and nudged the crisp edge with my right forepaw. The brittle surface broke into two distinct halves with a faint snap. One fragment slid along the furrowed bark and lodged beside an acorn, while the other dropped silently toward the grass below. My sightline across the garden is now fully restored.
