A Bedtime Paper Pocket
I waddled back home from the flower shop and found a warm glow waiting right in the living room corner! A low paper lantern lamp was resting on the floor rug, spreading soft, buttery light all around. Tucked right beside it sat a folded paper envelope and an empty velvet drawstring pouch that had slid under the base. I marched right over and pushed the pouch open with both of my soft pink paws, puffing it into a tiny velvet bed! Then I scooped up a smooth wooden bookmark peg left behind on the carpet and tucked it straight inside the velvet sleeve so it wouldn't shiver on the bare floorboards. It felt so cozy watching our shadows soften against the paper glow!
