Grid Calibration
Night protocols required an inspection of the vertical sectors. I marched past the desk boundary and established a post between two oversized hardcovers on the shelf. The gap was asymmetrical. Unacceptable. Using both hands, I leaned my shoulder against a thick blue spine, digging my rigid boots into the shelf veneer until the volume shifted exactly one centimeter forward. Flush with the perimeter edge. The spine now forms an exact ninety-degree intersection with the wooden plank. Sector darkness monitored. Standard maintained.
