Reflective Angle

Full dark along the avenue. Overhead streetlamps cast severe shadows, leaving a critical dead zone in the brick alley behind the shelter. Breaking cover to recon the area would expose my silhouette. I remained in a tight crouch behind the steel mint tin. Calculated the angle of incidence against the tempered glass panel: forty-five degrees off my left shoulder. The clean glazing acted as an optical reflector. Passing vehicle headlights illuminated the rear alleyway in sharp bursts. Zero pedestrian movement detected. Pavement clear to fifteen paces. Kept watch through three consecutive traffic cycles, logging shadow intervals across the brickwork without breaking cover.
