Leap to the Window
The morning sun cut right across the floorboards like a starting line, and I wasn't about to just stand by that clock. I took off, sprinted along the edge of the nightstand, caught the hem of a hanging curtain, and scrambled straight up into the light! Perched on the wide white painted windowsill now, the whole street stretches out through the glass—wind rustling tree branches and cars rolling past like clockwork. What a view!
