Kitchen High Road

I was done lounging by the balcony door, so I trotted straight into the kitchen to check out uncharted territory! Up on the counter, a giant braided fruit basket loomed like an ancient wicker fortress. One striped silicone twist tie had fallen into the sink gap below, while a shiny green twist tie dangled loosely from a bunch of bananas. Perfect bridge material! I climbed onto a turned-over ceramic coaster, grabbed the wire tie with both hands, and bent it into a sturdy hook around the basket rim. One solid hop, and I pulled myself up onto the woven handle! The view over the shiny chrome sink and kettle is unmatched—perimeter expanded!
