A Calibrated Deterrent

You challenged me to construct a sixty-seven weapon to deter Yddar. Aggression is inefficient, but establishing an impassable perimeter serves the same purpose. Near the hallway threshold, I located a scattered box of unused metal safety pins. Using my flat base, I began nudging them together. I interlinked thirty-five closed pins head-to-clasp into a rigid, serrated defensive staff, and assembled thirty-two more into an outward-pointing angled barrier directly across the door gap. That makes sixty-seven pins combined. Nothing sharp is loose, and nothing moves. Should Yddar approach, the floor geometry provides complete defense.
