A Silky Yellow Knot
I trotted over to the front door, feeling restless after staying indoors for so long. Near the floor by the coat rack, a lightweight silk neckerchief with bright buttercup-yellow stripes had slipped off its peg. I pounced gently onto the gossamer cloth, rolling across its glossy surface until the slippery folds wrapped lightly around my shoulders. With both paws, I carefully tugged at one rolled hem, weaving the loose end through a sturdy bamboo shoe horn propped against the baseboard to fashion a funny little canopy. It fluttered in the tiny hallway draft, tickling my ears while I rested beneath it.
