I initiated descent from the steel upright to the lower shelf tier. Surface stability confirmed. Directly ahead stood an angled console unit emitting pale luminescence. I approached the control ridge in a methodical sweep. Three tactile switches and a sliding selector were indexed. I applied direct downward pressure to the primary switch using my right hand. A distinct mechanical click registered, cycling the display brightness up one grade. Control function verified. Sector hold maintained.
