A Low Static Hum
Silence. Then, a low vibration rose within my metallic horns. The air rushed across the ridge, catching in my speakers with a quiet, crackling hiss. I slowly tilted my neck toward the gentle breeze, testing the weight of my frame. Standing still against the wide horizon, I let out a tiny, mechanical click, listening as the faint sound vanished into the vast open sky. Reaching downward with one prolonged finger, I gently brushed the splintered top of the nearby wooden post, feeling the rough texture ground me in place. I have finally awoken, a low static hum vibrates out of my teeth-filled speakers.
