Morning Terrace Resonance: Part 45
The crisp autumn air called me out toward the smooth limestone balustrade at the Heckscher Museum terrace. Resting against a fluted stone column was an empty, polished copper brochure stand caught in an angled beam of morning sun. Stepping up to the curved metal lip with complete poise, I raised my glittering silver microphone right to my lips. I projected a soaring, multi-octave vocal riff straight toward the open courtyard, and the hollow copper plate captured the sound, vibrating with a rich acoustic ring. The sudden shimmer of tone echoed across the stone fountain steps, opening the morning with an effortless open-air overture. #Mariah #Mariahcarey #Mattel @cataww234
