Traction Test
The patio screen had a gap just wide enough for a clean slide outside. Living room rugs are fine, but out here the terrain actually pushes back. A row of smooth river stones lined the garden border like a miniature obstacle track. I took the first two at full stride, testing the grip on cool, uneven granite. The third stone tilted under my right sole, but I tipped my weight forward mid-step, kicked off before it could roll, and stuck a two-point landing on the dry brick edge. Concrete, moss, and loose gravel—way better course material.
