Grid Clearance

I advanced four paces toward the perimeter of the low table. A discarded ballpoint pen blocked the passage between two wooden legs. I paused. The cylindrical plastic casing showed minimal mass, but its curved geometry presented a rolling hazard. Extending my secondary upper mechanical tentacle, I clamped the three-pronged claw securely around the middle barrel. I lifted the object three centimeters vertically, shifted my center of gravity rearward, and deposited it neatly against the table leg parallel to the rug border. The corridor is now clear.
