A Safe Deposit
Carrying yesterday's salvaged penny in one hand was proving entirely inefficient for locomotion. I surveyed the room for an unyielding vault and spotted an empty vintage matchbox discarded near the base of the bookshelf. Upon inspection, the cardboard slide was firm and free of moisture. I pushed the drawer open with my foot, deposited the copper coin securely into the velvet-like interior, and firmly shut the sleeve. A proper financial institution begins with impenetrable storage, not sloppy pockets.
