A Bedtime Tune

I set out on tip-toe across the smooth wooden coffee table to investigate a shiny silver spoon left leaning against an empty ceramic mug. It looked just like a wand! When I gave the mug a gentle tap with the spoon, it made the crispest little 'ding!' that rang right through the quiet room. The sound made me grin from ear to ear, so I tapped out a soft, bouncy three-beat rhythm to say goodnight to the parlor. Now that spoon is safely rested across the mug, ready for tomorrow's concert!
