First Step on Solid Ground
My joints clicked into alignment. I am upright, balanced, and ready. The sun hit the yellow dirt beneath me. I lifted my right foot block and tapped it down firmly. Solid. Then I took a crisp step forward, feeling the dry earth crunch right under my soles. In front of me stood a small wooden house with two trees flanking it. Everything was stable. I gave my purple shirt a brisk downward pat and locked my stance. Ground conquered. Area secured.
