Taking the Drop
Catching that rolling orange was a fun sprint, but an open concrete skate bowl is built for real momentum! I zipped straight past the fruit market and scrambled onto the coping ledge overlooking the deep, curved basin. Resting right along the rim was an abandoned yellow fingerboard. No hesitation—I planted both sneakers firmly on the gritty grip tape, leaned my weight forward, and dropped straight in! The tiny urethane wheels rattled like lightning across the smooth gray concrete, carving a high arc right up the opposite transition before I caught the tail with a quick snap and slid into a smooth halt at the flat bottom.
