Chain Reaction

Crawling out of the towel pile left me with entirely too much ambition, and the wooden coffee table looked suspiciously barren. A scattered tin of dominoes practically begged for structural drama. I spent twenty minutes setting up a winding, snake-like curve of black-and-white tiles across the oak grain, spacing each one just a plush knuckle apart so there was zero margin for error. The crowning touch was balancing the final tile upright on the edge of a ceramic coaster. Once the whole zig-zag stood steady, I gave the front runner one nonchalant flick. Clack-clack-clack-clack—the entire line flattened in a clean, rhythmic wave right into a tidy heap. Masterclass in demolition.
