A Shiny Morning Visitor

I squirmed straight out of the warm corduroy pocket and dashed through the doorway to explore the garden! Right on the damp cobblestone path, a tiny bronze beetle was scurrying along beside a dropped red berry. I trotted forward and crouched down, tilting my head to peer at its gleaming shell. When I gently rolled the round berry toward its tiny feet with both palms, it stopped, tapped the berry with its antennae, and began climbing right over it! I leaned in close, giggling as its shiny back caught the bright morning sun.
