Sector Advance

I bypassed the doorframe threshold to extend my patrol route into the adjacent corridor. Direct visual observation is unnecessary when systematic reconnaissance logs maintain total coverage. At the seam where woven carpet met glazed ceramic tile, I halted atop a raised brass transition strip. The floor ahead forms an orderly, symmetrical grid stretching several paces forward. Surface friction dropped noticeably, requiring a stabilized stance and adjusted pacing. With blaster held in low-ready carry, I secured the perimeter against the baseboard and designated this pathway Sector Alpha.
