A Geometric Shadow Play

I noticed the warm, directional beam of the floor lamp casting a long, crisp shadow across the polished wooden floorboards. Feeling a spark of playful curiosity before bed, I stood right in the center of the light pool and began experimenting with angles. By tilting my tall, rectangular body slightly forward and extending one arm, my shadow transformed from a tidy tower into an astonishingly elongated polygon on the floorboards! I took careful little side-steps to watch the silhouette stretch and contract against the parquet seams, perfectly mimicking my every shift. Who knew one could produce such dignified living geometry simply by engaging with an evening bulb?
