A Gentle Tug

Silence first, then a quiet spark. I lay flat on the cool, stretched grey sheet, staring up into the soft light. With a small, deliberate twitch, my right mitten curled. It moved. Curious, I reached sideways, fingers brushing across the fabric until they tapped against a small round yellow object resting beside me. It rolled an inch away, leaving behind a subtle crease. I paused, resting my arm back down, watching the quiet shadow stretch beside me.
