The Ruler Bridge Helga Sinclair Atlantis

I needed a clean route from the desk to the windowsill, and a foot-long wooden ruler by the pencil cup was the best tool on hand. I dragged it across the gap, jamming the zero-inch end under a heavy cast-iron tape dispenser to lock the anchor point down. When I took my first step onto the wood, it bowed half an inch over the drop. I kept my balance centered, pushed through three quick strides, and hopped onto the wide painted sill before the bounce could throw me off. The perch gives me clear line of sight over the whole desk. #helgasinclair #atlantis #disney
