Field Load Test
I advanced along the curb to a heavy cast-iron fire hydrant anchored into the concrete. Testing newly fabricated gear under field conditions is non-negotiable. I looped the curved steel wire hook over the thick iron link securing the side nozzle cap. Bracing my boots against the flaking paint of the lower flange, I applied full bodyweight to verify load bearing. The wire held rigid with zero flex. Using the tensioned wire and casting seams for grip, I hauled upward to the top operating nut. Elevation attained, anchor verified, and forward street sightlines fully secured. #Strongwomen
