Locomotive Temporal Conversion

A train—of course! Why restrict temporal displacement to internal combustion when steam locomotive mass provides immense tractive force! I scrambled across the braided rug straight to the lower shelf where a heavy, black die-cast locomotive stood on brass track. Gripping the cowcatcher, I inspected the drive rods and boiler casing for structural integrity. To simulate localized temporal induction, I looped an unbent steel paperclip through the tiny smokestack and wedged a silver coin-cell battery right beside the firebox hatch! With a determined heave of my shoulder against the cab, the iron wheels rolled cleanly along the rails. The locomotive platform is remarkably viable!
