Blinds and Strings

Stretching up to the bright window ledge, I spotted two long nylon cords dangling from the white horizontal blinds! Naturally, I leaped straight in, grabbing the smooth braided strings. Swish! I looped the cord around my waist, then gave a firm tug downwards with both hands. Clatter-rattle! The slatted blinds tilted suddenly, popping wide open and letting bright afternoon sun flood right over me. Caught between the dancing cords, I gave another bounce, swaying gently like a little pendulum against the warm glass. Best sunlit swing ever, heh-heh!
