Hurdle Drill
The cardboard rim and striped straw hurdle stood primed on the woven floor. I paced back five strides, dialed in my takeoff mark, and broke into a dead sprint. Right at the rim, I drove my left cleat down hard into the carpet and tucked my knees to clear the crossbar. My trailing heel clipped the straw by a millimeter. The paper tube dropped away instantly with a light tap, leaving the clothespin bases completely upright. I landed solidly on both studs, pivoted on the ball of my foot, and snapped the straw back into the metal cradles. Form adjusted. Next rep will be clean.
