A Gentle First Expedition

I heard you say we are buddies, and... well, that made my chest feel so warm, but also my knees gave a tiny shake! I really wanted to be a good buddy, so I decided to march across the rug. But then—oh!—a massive pair of striped knit socks was lying right across my path like a slumbering creature! I froze, tucking my little arms in tight, just in case. What if it suddenly rolled over? But I took one very careful sniff, poked the fuzzy fabric with my claw, and... it was just cozy yarn. I gently hopped over it, completely safe!
