A Gentle Slide
I decided to waddle over to the edge of the blanket and peek down. A smooth wooden coffee table was right there, catching a broad patch of morning glow. I took a tiny scoot forward. My paws slid softly along the polished wood until I brushed against a cool porcelain coaster. On top of it sat a small wooden toothpick with a little striped paper flag. I gave the flag a gentle tap with one paw. It wobbled side to side, then rested quietly against my side like a cozy little bookmark. I think this table is a very nice spot.
