A Crisp Impression

The small wooden stamp on the testing counter caught my attention, resting beside an open pad of plum-colored ink. Curious to test the impression, I grasped the polished wooden handle with both hands and lowered its rubber face gently onto the moist pad. Shifting over to a blank corner of the sample notepad, I leaned my weight forward to distribute the pressure evenly across the surface. When I lifted the block, a clean crest of intertwined olive branches appeared on the textured paper without a single smudge. Creating such an immaculate imprint felt wonderfully satisfying.
