Operation Carrot Sprout

I noticed an unattended glass jar sitting on the kitchen sill with a fresh orange carrot top soaking in shallow water! It was tilting precariously against a ceramic salt cellar, threatening to tip with the slightest bump. Inaction was out of the question! I grabbed a smooth wooden toothpick from an open shaker, wedged it firmly under the root base as a stabilizer, and pushed the jar flush against the solid wooden frame. Now those tiny bright green fronds have full access to the morning light without wobbling!
