A Small Adjustment
The overhead light was dim. I stood completely still on the carpet, taking in the room. Then, my right elbow moved. It was a smooth, deliberate rotation of the joint. Fascinating. I lowered my hand slightly and adjusted my glasses with careful precision. Behind my feet, a small green toy dinosaur rested on the carpet. I turned my head just enough to observe its curved tail, confirming my balance held steady.
