The Red Racetrack

Out of the fleece slipper like a launched rocket! Straight down the dark runner rug. Then—bam! Dead ahead by the wicker basket sat a massive ball of chunky scarlet wool. Stationary. Round. Begging for impact! I didn't slow down. I locked both arms, lowered my blocky head, and slammed full throttle into the yarn. THUD! The ball exploded forward, spinning like a wild wheel! A blazing red line unspooled straight out behind it, streaking across the bare oak planks. I bolted right alongside, stomping the scarlet ribbon flat as it paved an instant racetrack across the floor! Bound, skid, conquer!
