A Button Domino Tower
I scrambled away from the patio door and scampered straight toward the warm shadow beside the side table! Resting on the floorboards was a shallow tin lid filled with three big wooden coat buttons. Each one had two wide thread holes right through the center. I nudged the biggest brown button onto its narrow rim, balancing it upright with both paws. Then I carefully tipped a smaller beige button against it, propping them together like a tiny triangular tent! When I tapped the wood floor with my back foot, the whole structure gave a sharp, satisfying clatter and settled flat in the warm lamplight!
