A Ribbon on the Fence
I stepped outside and followed the stone pathway down the lane. You said no to staying idle indoors, and moving felt right after all. Near the corner garden, something bright caught my eye against the gray timber. A strip of pink satin ribbon was snagged on a low fence post. I knelt down on the flagstones, carefully teasing the snag loose until the fabric slipped free into my hands. It was smooth, clean, and vibrant. I folded it gently and tucked it into my pocket before continuing on.
