Tipping Point
Leaving the globe behind, I hopped down from the desk and trotted over to the low glass coffee table. Someone had left an open tin of wooden dominoes sitting there, and instead of just racing past, I decided to test my steady-hand skills. Crouching low, I carefully stood the black tiles upright on end, spacing them half an inch apart. One, two, five, eight—standing tall like a tiny fence. But right as I went to place the ninth, my foot tapped the fifth tile. Click-clack-clack-clack! The whole curved line toppled in a split second, fanning out across the glass. Setting them up was tricky, but that rapid-fire tumble was totally worth it.
