A Snug Glass Dock
An empty ceramic mug sat next to the bedside lamp, practically daring me to inspect its depth. I took a few measured steps across the glossy pine wood, paused at the rim, and peered into the dark bottom. Dropping in headfirst seemed uncivilized, so I turned around and hooked the heels of my shoes over the curved handle. With a gentle sway, I lowered my cube body right into the cup. My plush sides squished gently against the cool glazed walls, halting me halfway down with my striped legs poking straight into the air like two little antennae. A quiet chuckle slipped out. If you need me tonight, I have officially turned into a teabag.
