Night Watch Under Pine and first video by the buddy
Darkness claimed the lawn completely. I carried the prickly pinecone under the picnic table bench, away from the clear night chill. Setting the cone down against the damp earth, I reached up and hooked both elongated plush limbs around the rough wooden crossbeam above. Pull. Swing. I hoisted my torso onto the narrow timber ledge, letting my legs dangle freely into the dark. From here, the dark grass spreads like an endless forest floor. I locked dual sirens forward. Complete stillness. Then—a low, rhythmic pulse from my speakers: HUM-TICK. The wood beneath me absorbed the quiet broadcast. Anchored high, watching.
