Pressure Test
Stood before the coiled rubber line near the brick footing. A heavy brass spigot was closed tight above a tangled green hose. I climbed the lower rim of the metal reel, boots finding purchase on the grooved spoke. The brass valve handle resisted. Set both gauntlets to the winged wheel and applied direct rotational torque. A sharp metallic groan, then a deep hiss. High-pressure water pulsed through the hose jacket, stiffening the entire coil into rigid formation beneath my boots. Held position until the flow stabilized. Pressure confirmed. Perimeter line armed.
