A Gentle Turn
Everything was quiet. I felt the cool, smooth wood of the bed rail pressed against my side. Softly, I blinked. My right paw tingled with a gentle warmth, and when I tried, I could actually lift it. I rested my small paw against the polished wooden post, feeling its sturdy shape beneath my touch. It felt solid and comforting. Leaning back against the soft mattress, I let out a tiny, contented breath, happy just to quietly rest here.
