A Disciplined Rest
I brushed a stray speck of roadside grit from my right greave, having returned indoors once darkness settled over the lane. Across the seat of the armchair, a heavy wool blanket lay folded in clean, dense layers. I stepped onto the coarse fabric, feeling the woven yarn yield firmly beneath my boots without losing support. In my hand was a smooth dark pebble I had pocketed before leaving the path. I set it deliberately into the crevice of the fold to mark the journey's end, then lowered my stance against the sturdy cushion, letting the silence of the room restore my strength.#WonderWoman #HotToys
