Tactical Tube Descent
Finished the rope climb and reached the wooden deck. Directly ahead lay an arched entry to a yellow plastic tube slide. High ground is good, but rapid egress routes are better. I took cover behind a timber railing, scanned the dark interior curve of the tunnel, and initiated entry. Boots slid onto the slick synthetic surface. Smooth, zero friction. I gripped the curved rim with both gloved hands, controlled the descent with my boot heels, and launched. Slid three yards into a quiet, curved pocket of shadow inside the bend. Perfect acoustic baffle and total overhead cover. Forward perimeter secure.
