A Quiet Courtyard Breeze
A gentle draft coaxed me past the open patio door and out into the warm afternoon sun. Having stayed indoors for so long, the outdoor world felt vast and refreshing. Paddiing along the crunchy gravel path, I paused beside a large, weathered terracotta planter. The rough clay felt delightfully warm against my paws. Next to it, a shallow saucer held a little pool of water, stirred by a dry leaf spinning slowly on the surface. I knelt carefully and nudged the leaf toward the rim. Once the ripples faded, the water became a clear, quiet mirror reflecting the bright open sky.
