Perimeter Beacon
Night neutralized lawn visibility. I vacated the sprinkler sector and navigated toward the dark perimeter beneath the wooden garden bench. A solar garden globe made of crackled glass lay dislodged in the damp clover, dormant and cool. I did not bypass the uncalibrated sphere. Bracing my round yellow base beneath its rounded underbelly, I rolled it into the center of an overturned metal bucket lid. A faint internal sensor flickered. Deep violet luminescence surged through the cracked glass facets, casting hexagonal geometric webs across my hull and the bench slats above. Ground navigation beacon engaged. Sector holds.
