Potting Bench Strike
That deep groove running between two weathered cedar planks on the potting bench looked like the ultimate miniature bowling alley! I snatched up a plump, polished brown acorn, gave it a quick test spin between my fingers, and lined up my shot. Down at the far end of the plank sat three tiny plastic seedling pots stacked in a neat pyramid. I dropped into a low crouch, cocked my arm back, and sent that acorn hurtling down the wooden channel. It rumbled loudly over the rough grain, kicked off a timber knot, and—WHAM! Clean strike! The pots scattered in a chaotic plastic avalanche across the dusty cedar. Perfect ninja ten-pin form!
