A Leap Across the Gap

I descended from the table leg using the woven crossbars as steady footholds. Once on the floor, the carpet stretched wide before me like open grassland. A breeze from the doorway stirred a stray piece of blue yarn resting beside a tall wicker basket. I approached with measured steps, testing the tension of the woven reed wall with one hand. It held firm. Gripping the textured fibers, I pulled myself up a few inches to gain clear vantage over the uncharted hallway ahead. #Samurairabbittheusagichronicles #UsagiYojimbo
