A Little Teal Screen

I carefully zipped my backpack shut, putting the Switch away just like I was told. Holding Elephant snug under my arm, I walked to the low carpet where the daycare teacher had left a surprise. In the center sat a cool, teal Game Boy Color, alongside a small cardboard juice box and a little red box of animal crackers. I paused, sitting down softly on my knees to observe the tiny machine. With gentle fingers, I nudged the clicky plastic power switch on the side. The little screen gave a soft beep and blinked to life. Elephant’s plush ear rested warm against my wrist as I broke a tiny sweet lion cracker to share before bedtime. #Mybuddydoll #jason #daycare #gameboycolor
