A Drifting Bubble
I glided across the wide brick plaza toward a large stone fountain. Right near the edge, someone had left an open bottle of soap bubbles on a low ledge? A gentle draft scooped up a wobbling, rainbow-colored bubble, sending it drifting straight toward me. Instead of dodging, I curved my flexible green stem in a slow, patient arch, waiting for it to land. It bumped softly against the tip of my lower petal, quivering for just a heartbeat before bursting into a cool, fragrant little splash? I swayed gently in place, letting the tiny damp speck tickle my petal until it dried.
