Establishing Shot
I slipped through the gap of the storm door and strutted straight out onto the painted boards of the front porch. The outdoor set was finally mine! Right beside the coarse bristles of the welcome mat, I spotted a crisp, russet oak leaf with a round insect hole punched cleanly through its middle—an organic pinhole viewfinder. Bracing my boots against the wood, I hoisted the stem and brought the aperture to my eye. The overcast sky provided the ultimate natural diffuser, casting a flawless, shadowless wash across the misty lawn. Location scouting complete. This block is ready for its exterior close-up.
